This vintage dress has been in my wardrobe for ages and I have worn it many, many times.

 

I love the shape, the fact that it is comfortable to wear and most of all I love the colour.

 

 

And it gives me a reason to wear my favourite yellow shoes and I always like to have a reason to wear them.

 

 

The belt is a bit unusual for me to wear with this dress, I normally wear it with a white belt, but I wanted to try something different.

 



And of course, taking pictures outside the store we went to to look at a new wall-to-wall carpet for our bedroom, on a windy day I might add, that`s a quite normal thing to do, right..?

Beauty and the Beast #2

I always have some beatuy products on my whislist, products I read about and think: I just have to buy this.

MAC`s "Ruby Woo" lipstick is one of these products and yesterday I went downtown and bought it. There`s something facinating about a red lipstick with a colour that is supposed to fit everyone, no matter skintone.

I wanted to get the matching lipliner also called "Ruby Woo", but you can`t get it in Norway for some reason. I do prefer to wear lipliner with red lipstick and I do prefer the lipliner to be from the same brand as the lipstick. So I went for the lipliner "Cherry" instead after the nice MAC-lady told me that was the best match to "Ruby Woo".

And she of course persuaded me to buy the prep+prime as well, by persuading I mean: 

She asked: Would you like to buy a primer with this lipstick?
And I answerd: Yes, please....

When I have lash extensions I tend to wear lipstick with strong colours more then when I don`t have lash extentions. Foundation and lipstick and I`m ready to go. I have become adddicted to foundation. I admit it, I just need it.

Tomorrow I will wear "Ruby Woo" together with my new blue dress from COS, that I found at 50% off. Yeah, I love it when that happens!

HOW I STYLE A POP OF COLOUR/#iwillwearwhatilike

Moving on to the colour orange. Another colour I love. I have to stop explaining every colour I love, the truth is I love every colour. At least every bright colour, pastels is not my cup of tea, I need them bright. Like this orange little jacket.

 

The white dress is a dress I wear all year around, in winter with chunky knit and boots, in summer with heels and if necessary, like yesterday, with a jacket.

 

 

Funny how I wear a white dress when I spent the last few days telling you that I don`t wear black and white that much. Oh well, no rules in fashion I say.

 

I love these shoes and I loved them even more when I discoverd that I could wear them with my little orange jacket.

 

 

Orange and gold together is a combination that I like a lot so I put on a long gold necklace, just because I wanted to.

 

I got my summer lash extensions on yesteday, and I`m very happy about that. No need to mention that I fell asleep and woke up of my own snoring... Ops.. my bad....

Yesterday was more than just a pop of colour, it was a lot of colour.

And this colour is really me, pink, Purple, cerise and red are colours I love and wear a lot.

 

It is actually more surprising to see me in black or white than to see me in colours, I have never been afraid to wear colours, I have always worn them and probably always will.

 

 

Colourful shoes does so much to an outfit, so if I once in a while do wear a black or white outfit you can be certain that my shoes are in a bright colour. I would guess that amongst my approximately 150 pairs of shoes, 5 of them are black.

 

 

I have mentioned before that I am aware of the fact that boyfriend-jeans really is an item I should avoid, I have the bodyshape of a ruler so this kind of jeans does nothing for my behind. But I still wear them because #iwillwearwhatilike.

 

 

When wearing jeans I prefer to wear heels, I just love that combination.

Yesterday I was back on my porch due to a heavy rain over Oslo.

 

I am not one for black and white outfits, but when I can combine two patterns like stripes and dots, it make black and white a bit more interesting.

 

 

Wearing my enormous necklace; that`s a statement-necklace for you.

 

 

All in all, I am happy with yesterdays outfit.

HOW I STYLE THE YELLOW PLASTIC BAG/#iwillwearwhatilike-link up

I remember having a couple of these bags way back, if memory serves me right it must have been in the late eighties. One was white and one was neon pink. So when I found this at a flea market a few years ago my heart stopped, I just had to have it, it cost me a pound....

I am also in to the green/yellow combination, two colours I think are so cool together.

Green is a colour I really love, one thing is the fact that it`s colour that suits me but it is also a colour that calms me in a way.

Anyway, regardless of which colour, when I find two items in almost identical colours, I get very happy. I have a thing for monochrome outfits. These two items were bougth years apart.

The heels are one of my favourite pair. I love shoes with colours , and these are in the green/yellow combination that I like so much. What Luck!

HOW I STYLE THE SHOPPER/#iwillwearwhatilike-link up

I am drawn to dresses like this, I must have like a dozen of them in different colours and patterns. They`re so comfortable and easy to style up or down.

 

This time I styled it somewhere between up and down, if one can say that. I would normally wear a belt with this kind of dress, but the weather in Oslo is still warm and there is something about wearing a belt when you get all sweaty underneath it that don`t appeal to me at all.

 

 

I never wear a long necklace when I`m wearing a belt so since I did`nt wear a belt, I wore a long necklace, that makes sense, right?

 

 

I`m not very into wedges, I`m a high heels girl all the way, I actually think these are the only pair of wedges I own. But I thougth they would look good with the dress and the necklace.

 

 

Oh, Yeah, the shopper...., the #iwillwearwhatilike link-up....well, it`s a shopper....

 

 

All in all, this was my outfit yesterday.

I am not the one to read the books everybody else reads. And I usually read novels by Norwegian Authors.

But I would very much like to see the Movie based on this book, so I desided to read it first.

This is not a book-report, I just wanted to say that this was a great book and I`m glad I read it.

HOW I STYLE THE TOTE BAG/#iwillwearwhatilike

I pulled out my Alexander Wang x H&M bag for this weeks #iwillwearwhatilike-link up. This was the only item from that collaboration I wanted - and I got it. I used it quite a lot to begin with, but these days I tend to use a shopper for my camera and note-books (yes, plural...).

 

The tote is kind of sporty so I styled it with my Stan Smith`s.

 

 

But I am not your average sporty person, so I thought I`d better wear my DIY culottes and my Mickey Mouse blouse in fear of looking to sporty, not that I could fool anyone if I tried, but just to be on the safe side....

 

 

I adore this blouse but I don`t wear it that much, I actually think it`s a bit too childish, but every once in a while we all need a Mickey Mouse blouse-day.

 

 

So this was what I wore yesterday.

HOW I STYLE THE ORANGE DRESS

The warm weather continues in Oslo and a short dress is about the only thing one can wear in this heat.

 

This orange dress has been with me for a while, it is one of my favourite summer-dresses.

 

 

I like the colour, the length and the fact that it has pockets, as mentioned just a few times before.... I love dresses with pockets!!

 

 

But just how warm the weather is, it is never too hot to wear heels. A day in heels is a good day.

 

 

And when the colour of the heels are the same as the dress, it`s a very good day for heels.
