HOW I STYLE THE DENIM SKIRT

I must say I was starting to get fed up with the denim trend, but then I found this skirt at sunday`s flea market. The leather detail caught my eye. Finally a denim skirt with that little extra that I appreciate in a trend item.

And of course since I am a matcher I used the colour of the detail to style the outfit. I chose a slim top to the skirt due to the leather details and the buttons that makes the skirt stand out on it`s own.

ANYTHING GOES/ALT GÅR - #iwillwearwhatilike link-up

First day back to work after easter and I chose to wear suede with leopard. The boots are quite new and I love them. The culottes are her to stay, at least in my wardrobe, and I love them too.

Det skal bli deilig å komme i gjenge igjen etter påsken, det er alltid deilig med fri, men jeg er nok en type som liker hverdager best.

I like to wear lace under this top due to the zipper in the back. It`s somehow nice when you can see the lace when it`s zipped up.

 

A lovely easter has come to an end, a post with some of my easter outfits will come up later, most days were spent in my sweatpants, but some days I was dressed in something else....

 

 

 

Easy colours and the scale of colours I like the best apart from bright colours. It`s something special with the earth colours. I believe that the reason I like these colours so much is because you can match them with the leopard print, which is my all time favourite print, but it has to be black and brown/beige. I don`t like leopard print in other colours, it has to be natural, in a way. Well, that`s me for you, and the leopard print-thing is just one of my things, believe me; I have many more...

How I get inspired to wear a long shirt/Hvordan jeg blir inspirert til å bruke lang skjorte

Silje Pedersen var den første bloggeren jeg begynte å følge for mange år siden og jeg synes fremdeles at hun er helt fantastisk. Hun har en langt mer preppy stil enn meg, men jeg finner masse inspirasjon i elementene hun bruker. Og uten sammenligning for øvrig, hun er en skikkelig proff, jeg er en skikkelig amatør.

Forrige uke tipset hun om hvordan man kan style den lange skjorten, og jeg ble selvfølgelig inspirert!

 

Skinny jeans is the basic item I always come back to, it is the easiest item to style, it is comfortable and it looks good.

 

Today I wore it with a tunic/dress and an oversized denim jacket.

 

I used the colour of the pattern in the dress when I chose the shoes, scarf and bag.

 

Turned out all right if you ask me!

#iwillwearwhatilike - link-up - VINTAGE

 

Oh, be still my heart... I LOVE vintage and secondhand. I can stay in my local salvation army store (Fretex) for hours. I love the feeling of finding clothes that fits me like a glove, yet it was obviously sewn to someone else.

 

 

 

Like this wonderful and sheer dress, one of my first vintagedresses. I love the pattern and the colour.

 



 

Sheer is always difficult, I think, but this wool/sweater/vest-thing makes it easier to wear the sheer dress, and wool works in Oslo these days - the snow won`t stop falling!!!

 

 

I often wonder what the vintage and secondhand clothes I bring home have been a part of, what adventures they have been on. It just occured to me the I write about my clothes like they are human. Well, they kind of are to me, so cope with it.....

all Backwards - #iwillwearwhatilike, weekly link up

I have a cuople of skirts like this one, lots of volume and maybe not a first pick for a day at the office. Still I think that a turtleneck an a knitted cardigan makes it work...at work...

Wearing the cardigan backwards, inspired by Bittersweet Colours, she can of course pull off anything (with much more luck than me, I may add...) but I thought I`d give it a shot, and I kind of like it.

I like the scale of colours, it makes it easy to match with each other. And it`s really no secret that I LOVE leopard print, and since the weekly #iwillwearwhatilike link up this week is animal print...voila...! One of my "3 in..." was ponytail, and a ponytail to this 50`s vibe skirt is a good idea, accoring to me.

The skirt is actually a cut-off dress, the upper part of the dress was poorly tailored, so I just cut it off and now it is a much more usable skirt. Clever or what...? Kind of surprised my self there...

Thursday in Pattern

En liten 

#iwillwearwhatilike-pause, dagen i dag er Glitter Eyeshadow, men jeg skal på fest på lørdag så jeg kommer med mitt bidrag da isteden.

 

Har blitt veldig glad i cropped bukser og kulotter.

 

Jeg har nevnt det før; korte bukser = høye hæler.

 

 Og så må det være et visst system i farger og mønster, og det er det her.

Selv om jeg ser like potte-sur ut, bare ven dere til det...

 

Dette er den første designervesken jeg kjøpte meg, men jeg bruker den altfor lite. Jeg har siden sommerferien var slutt hatt et lite prosjekt på gang og det kaller jeg: 

Prosjekt bruke-hele-garderoden-min. Og så langt er inspirasjonen på topp, og denne fine vesken har fått svingt seg igjen.

Denne genseren har blitt en liten favoritt; fin farge og god og varm.

Brunt, leopard og clutch, hjelper litt på et ikke så veldig spennende antrekk.

Different Shades of Brown

Du vet at du er verdens minst fotogene blogger når det fineste bildet i dag er det av detaljene dine...

Men samma det, moro er det uansett!

Jeg har bredere skuldre enn hofter, så når jeg går for ensfarget bruker jeg gjerne statment-smykker for å avlede oppmerksomheten fra nettopp skuldrene. Spesielt i dag, hvor jeg har lysere overdel enn underdel, burde strengt tatt vært motsatt, men, men...
