HOW I STYLE FOR 17TH OF MAY CELEBRATION

You have to be Norwegian to understand the meaning of our contitution day. In 1814 we got our own constitution, and we have been celebration our minds out every year since (exept the war years 1940 - 1945). I think it`s a nice tradition, everybody is out in the streets waving their flags, singing 17th of May songs and eating all the icecream we can handle.

If you own a bunad (a national dress) this is the day to wear it. I unfortunally don`t have a bunad, so this year I went for a red vintage skirt.

Because I carry a Norwegian flag around with me all day, I always try to choose one of the colours in our flag as the main colour of my outfit.

So red, white or blue, then...

Together with my vintage skirt, I wore a plain white T-shirt, white pumps and a white bucket-bag.

I styled the outfit with gold accessories and a white hat with a red ribbon. Never a 17th of May without a hat, that`s a rule I made for myself and I never break it. And a big, warm, red shawl... it`s Norway after all, in spring we can experience four seasons in a day!

It was a great 17th of May, today it is back to work in another outfit.

WIDE PANTS AND HOW I STYLE THEM/#iwillwearwhatilike link-up - Anything Goes

A tiny bit inspired by Gucci I found one of my wide pants as I thought I could do ssomething with them.

I paired them with a blouse I rarely wear and one of my favourite boots...not one boot...I wore one of each foot, of course... I have to wait to pull out my heels, the weather in Oslo is not great at the moment.

Og mens vi venter på at våren skal finne veien til Oslo i Norge, blir mine ankelboots flittig brukt. Igjen går jeg for røde elementer, jeg kommer liksom ikke unne rødt, jeg.

The wide pants does absolutely nothing for my non-existing behind, but never the less I love wearing them, it so relaxing in a way, hard to explain actually. I thought about using a bag in a contrasting colour, but matchy-me showed up so I didn`t dare.

For this weeks #iwillwearwhatilike link-up the choice was easy, it had to be red. I`ve always been a fan of bright colours, probably because they suit me the best.

I og med at temaet var topp til tå i en farge og jeg gikk for rødt, ble det rød overdel, rød bukse, røde sko, røde øredobber, rød ring, rødt skjerf og rød leppestift... Ikke stort mer å si om de valgene....
